This is a text description of Figure 7-9, "Defining the Adjacent Node".
The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Define a LAN Connection".
This is the same as figure 7-8, except that a different tab has been selected.
The client area* has four tabs. The tabs are labeled "Basic", "Advanced", Adjacent Node", and "Reactivation". The "Adjacent Node" tab (displayed) has two sections of data. Below the tab display is a row of four buttons.
The first section has the term "Adjacent CP name:" above two edit boxes that are separated by a period. The edit box entries are "ORACLE" and "MVS08". The second line has two drop-down list boxes. The left box has the label "Adjacent CP type:" above the entry selection "Network Node". The right drop-down list box has the label "TG number:" and the entry selection "1". The second section is a group box with the label "Adjacent node ID", and it has two edit boxes. The left edit box is labeled "Block ID:" and has the entry "000". The right edit box has the label "Physical Unit ID:" and has the entry "00000". This group box is displayed in muted gray color to indicate that it is not available under the present conditions.
The four buttons are labeled: "OK", "Cancel", "Apply", and "Help".
