This is a text description of Figure 8-1, "Network Configuration Tool".
The text surrounding the figure describes the use of this dialog box. The figure is a screen capture image and contains example data that may not match your system. You must make selections appropriate for your system. The title bar label is "Network".
The client area* has five tabs. The tabs are named "Identification", "Services", "Protocols" (open), "Adapters", and "Bindings". Below the buttons is an outlined section labeled "Description:" and containing text. Below the tab display is a row of two buttons.
The list box has three lines of data, each beginning with a network link icon. The first line is "NWLink IPX/SPX Compatible Transport". The second line is "NWLink NetBIOS". The third line is "TCP/IP Protocol", and this line is highlighted (it has been selected). The four buttons are labeled "Add...", "Remove", "Properties...", and "Update". The text within the "Description:" section is "Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. The default wide area network protocol that provides communication across diverse interconnected networks."
The two buttons at the bottom are labeled: "OK" and "Cancel".
